MVP development for New Zealand founders.
People say they want your idea. An MVP is how you find out whether they will pay for it. Voidforge builds the first version of your product, small enough to launch soon and solid enough to carry paying customers, then keeps building it with you.
You work with the senior people writing the code, from the first sketch to the day customers sign up. We are in Dunedin and work with founders across New Zealand.
What you get.
A product customers can sign up to and pay for, on the web, iOS or Android, with the systems behind the screen that keep it running.
A scope held to what proves the idea. We settle early the decisions that are expensive to change later, and leave the rest until your customers have told you more.
Software built so a team can keep working in it after launch, whether that team is us or your own.
How it goes.
We start with a call about what you want to prove and who will pay for it. If a prototype answers that faster, we say so: something real people can hold within weeks, usually for under NZ$10,000.
Then a scope and a price, agreed before anything starts, and a plan you can read. You see working software as it is built, and you make the calls on what goes in.

Who you work with.
Drian Naude leads every build. He has spent about twenty years building software in energy, finance, SaaS and consumer products, including time inside Partly, Glorious, Flicket and Bitlab.
Being local means you can sit across the table from the person building your product, and you get a straight answer on what it costs before anything starts.
Questions people ask.
How much does an MVP cost in New Zealand?
It depends on what it needs to prove. We scope the work and agree the price before we start. As a guide, under NZ$10,000 usually buys a prototype, and a first product with accounts and payments costs more.
How long does it take to build an MVP?
It depends on the scope, and the date is in the plan before you commit. Lume had a fixed launch date while the product was still changing, and launched on it.
Do I need a technical co-founder first?
No. We act as your technical lead as well as the team building it, so a senior person is making the technical calls from the first day. Lume worked with us this way from build to launch.
Can you build it for iOS and Android?
Yes, along with the web. Lume launched on iOS, Android and the web in July 2026.
What happens after launch?
We keep building with you as customers tell you what they need, or hand it to your own team in a state they can work in with confidence.
